  • First
    First: Denib the door with 3M™ Finesse-it™ Trizact™ 466LA daisy discs, grade 3000 on denib tool;
    Then clean the area!
  • Second
    Second: Scratch refinement with 3M™ Trizact™ Fine Finishing Disc 443SA, grade 8000, 75 mm on orbital sander;
    Then clean the area!
    You are now ready for polishing!

  • First

    First: Sand the area with 3M™ Hookit™ Purple Finishing Film Abrasive Disc 260L, grade P2000;
    Then clean the area!

  • Second

    Second: Sand the area with 3M™ Trizact™ Fine Finishing Disc 443SA, grade 3000, 150 mm on orbital sander on orbital sander, then clean the area.

  • Third

    Third: Scratch refinement with 3M™ Trizact™ Fine Finishing Disc 443SA, grade 8000, 150 mm on orbital sander on orbital sander, then clean the area.
    You are now ready for polishing!

1-Step Polishing process
First
First: Add a small amount of 3M™ Perfect-It™ 1-Step Finishing Material onto a purple foam pad on the rotary polisher.
Polish in an overlapping pattern, RPM between 600 - 1500.

Note: The softer the coating, the lower the temperature and thus the RPM needs to be.
Wipe off any excess polish and inspect the area.

 

 

Second
Second: Apply 3M™ Finish Control Spray, wipe off with microfiber cloth or 3M™ Polishing Cloth.

 

 

Third
Third: Re-Polish the area to ensure a high gloss finish is achieved, with no additional compound onto the foam needed.
Wipe off any excess polish and inspect the area - most colours are fine now.
For critical colours (very dark or black) - remove the holograms with 3M™ Ultrafina SE and blue polishing pads.

Note: Using this process too dry will not give you swirl-free results! Don't apply too much pressure - just run the pad over the surface, covering the whole area generously.
