The 3M™ Prevena™ Plus Customizable Incision Management System is designed to manage and protect surgical incisions in patients at risk of surgical site complications, including infection.1 By applying 125mmHg continous negative pressure for up to 7 days, 3M™ Prevena™ Therapy helps to hold incision edges together,2 reduce oedema3 and removes fluid and infection materials away from the incision and into a replacable canister.4 Prevena Therapy has been proven to help reduce surgical site complications and improve patient outcomes across multiple surgical specialties.5-14 Helping to reduce the burden on healthcare facilities through reduced reoperations 6,9,12 and associated additional costs of treatment.14,15
