For a swirl free finish on a variety of substrates, use 3M™ Self-Generated Vacuum Random Orbital Sander (SGV). Our SGV sanders are designed to enhance 3M abrasives. They use 3M™ Clean Sanding Filter Bags for effective dust removal, ideal for high production industrial environments demanding dust extraction. Made with a durable lightweight aluminium housing, they run smoothly, are comfortable to operate and can be used with various accessories. They’re an integral part of the 3M™ Clean Sanding System, comprising of the SGV tool, Clean Sanding Disc Pad and Clean Sanding Disc*. These components combine to virtually dust from the workpiece and surrounding space. SGV sanders use the inlet air to create their own venturi vacuum, extracting dust from the work surface and expelling it through a wide collection port, into a filter bag. The 3M™ Clean Sanding Filter Bag included achieves superior HEPA-rated dust collection with an air filter inside the bag, which locks dust away for disposal. We’ve included a 3M™ Hookit™ Disc Pad for optimal performance. SGV sanders perform best when used with 3M disc pads and abrasives. The disc pads are designed to maximise dust extraction and minimise vibration for smooth operation. They feature our unique multi hole pattern, which reduces build up in the middle of the pad and increases disc performance and life. 3M™ Hookit™ system offers both convenience and versatility, through easy disc changes and to enable use of Scotch-Brite™ Surface Conditioning Discs in addition to coated abrasive Hookit discs.* Also known as dual action (D/A) palm sanders, these industrial-grade sanders rotate the abrasive disc and disc pad in two simultaneous overlapping oval patterns – no single abrasive particle follows the same path twice, for a random scratch and swirl-free finish. *Sold separately
