INOX/Steel: A mixture of 3M Precision Shaped Grain and aluminium oxide which cuts fast and has a long life. This grain cuts cool, ensuring these cut-off wheels work well on heat sensitive metals like stainless and mild steel. These wheels have iron, sulphur and chlorine content <0,1% therefore are suitable for stainless steels. P-Hardness. INOX: Depressed centre grinding wheels designed for stainless steel, softer than wheels for steel for a more free cutting performance. Made with aluminium oxide grain, these wheels have iron, sulphur and chlorine content <0,1% therefore are suitable for stainless steels. P/Q Hardness. Steel-medium/Steel-hard: Depressed centre grinding wheels for steel, a general recommendation is medium for flat surface defect removal and hard for edge grinding and tougher applications. Aluminium oxide grain. Medium Q Hardness, Hard R Hardness. Non-ferrous: Depressed centre grinding wheels designed for aluminium, brass and other non-ferrous materials. Aluminium oxide grain. Soft wheels for good cutting performance. N-Hardness. Foundry: Depressed centre grinding wheels designed for foundries. Made with aluminia zirconia grain and provide long life even when in contact with glass and carbide particles in the cast skin. T-Hardness. Depressed centre grinding wheels are available in Type 27 variants. Type 27 wheels have a depressed centre and are used for grinding. They should always be used with an appropriate guard.
