When used with 3M Wool Pads 05703, 05704 05705 or 33280, this adaptor provides fast, easy centering. When used with a Perfect-It™ Backup Pad (PN 05718), it helps reduce vibration, preserves the backup pad from potential wear and protects the surface from damage due to direct exposure to the polisher shaft. This assembly allows for quick pad change-outs without having to remove the adaptor.
